Profile Information

About me:: I ran for the Oklahoma State House of Representatives in 1998 at the age of twenty-one as the youngest candidate in the state. I served as the President of the Student Senate and the Residence Hall Association at the University of Central Oklahoma . In August of 2000, I took a break from college and enlisted in the United States Army – serving on active duty in the airborne infantry for three years at Fort Richardson (Anchorage , Alaska) before retuning to complete my bachelor’s degree in May of 2005 and start law school. I was selected to serve as Chair of the Student Senate and I was ranked #1 in my class at Oklahoma City University. Then, in March of 2006, I was deployed to Afghanistan with the Oklahoma National Guard . I earned the Army Commendation Medal and the Combat Infantryman’s Badge overseas and I also started the MBA program. In June of 2007, I returned home to pursue a JD / MBA at the University of Oklahoma . I currently serve on the Graduate Student Senate at the University of Oklahoma and on the Student Advisory Board to the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education and I am also a non-commissioned officer in the Oklahoma National Guard.
