Father - A Reggiano Montanaro*a mountain man-farmer based culture* from Reggio Emilia, Italy
Mother - A self-made and strong Negrense from Negros Oriental, Philippines
Travel and Living History:
Born in Cebu City and lived until 2, traveled to Nigeria and lived there for 8 years, went back to the Philippines and stayed for 9 years, currently living in Italy.
So, technically I live in the Matildine lands of Reggio Emilia, basicly near the castles of Canossa, Rossena, Bianello, that belong to the Tuscan Countess Matilda during a very controversial time in Europe. At the moment, I am not working, waiting to take an exam for the nursing license to work in the United States.
My likes: Philosophy and psychology, classical and contemporary art, different kinds of music*I'm an eclectic*, fog, rain, snow, Tolstoy, Pushkin, Dosteovsky, cooking and cuisine, eating, painting, photography, hiking, getting lost in cities, languages, coffee, hanging out and just talking, cold, day dreaming, observing human behaviors, helping people out, supporting my friends, artistic design, other cultures, frankness, liquors, loads more....
My dislikes: Closed minded people, arrogance, presumptous persons, cultureless fads, capitalism, intolerant persons, getting backstabbed, liver etc...
Strange facts: I have several half siblings from both parent's side before they met, I look like my half brother from my father's side though he's 198 cm and i'm just 170; I like learning about anything especially languages, currently I'm learning Basque, Finnish and Latin... progress? 5 percent in all of them lol; I tend to always find my way in a city even if it was the first time that I visited it; I am a proud Mestizo, Metis, Meticchio, Mutt, Halfbreed, Halfblood; I like to be eccentric.
Languages spoken: English - Primary language, Italian, Sinugbuanon/Cebuano, I understand Castilliano and speak a little of it, I am also learning the Reggiano/Arzan dialect.
Movies: Fight Club, La vita e' bella*Life is Beautiful*, Cinema Paradiso, The Graduate, Rashomon, Ran, Derzu Usala, Akira Kurosawa's Dreams and many more.
That's a short synopsis of who I am. But not the entirety.

I'm fine, thank you. I'm currently busy with a lot of school things... important tests and such things. And the weather turned to... dark. hahaha, well, there's snow everywhere, but I like it this way. What about you?

Well, basically Itzgründisch sounds more smooth than standard german, but not as smooth as the bavarian style. The vowels are often "modded" in Itzgründisch, this gives the words a totally other sound. And sometimes there are simply some letters missing, but it's not common to write it down, we just speak it. Of course, there also some all-new words that are quite funny, since "strangers" don't understand them at all. ;-)

Wow, you're learing alot of languages. I don't know if I would have the nerve to learn 3 languages (and a dialect) ;-) at the same time.
Well, of course I know how to speak in thuringian (or rather franconian) dialect, but I'm lucky since I also know how to speak standard german. Some people here got problems with that. ;-) The difference is quite large-scaled. Almost every word is spoken out different and I believe it's impossible for someone who doesn't speak german natively to understand it. Even other germans have difficulties to get it, you know? The dialect is widely spread in our region and it's normal for us.
In my school are also some people from bavaria and they often barely understand us if we speak in dialect. :-D It's a quite interesting subject.
Our dialect here is called "Itzgründisch", there is a nice wikipedia article about it. But think this won't help you much, since it's only in german. Want to learn a another language?? ;-)
Well, I'm doing nothing special... just what many people do. Reading, playing PC games, sometimes sports. What about you?
