In my heart, you will always be.....

Last evening, as we were doing the ward round, the topic arose, "why some people behave the way they do?"

"It's your basic training." my consultant said. "You tend to internalize certain things, which will stay with you throughout your career. Things like correct procedures, ways of communication, sterility etc. We pick up other things as we go on but that depends on what we already have come to accept. "

I couldn't agree more. Because no matter what everybody says, I won't change my opinion/view on certain issues; not even if it meant I will fail an exam because of the view I held.

For instance, Pluto was still a planet when we went to school. Now they say he's just a piece of rock floating out there and not a planet. Huh. How could they decide like that?

I feel so bad because, while dear Pluto was still a planet, we didn't care for him. There were big guys like Jupiter and Saturn, or beautiful and important ones like Venus. Pluto was just out there, away from the main stream, not worthy enough of our attention. A small one, nothing special about him. And then people became even more rude, and took away his planet state.

Dear Pluto, in my heart, you will always be a planet. I'm sorry I didn't treat you nicely then; I was not mature enough.
