Hi PlantBuddy, nice to see you here! Sounds interesting - can we peek a little? I have no idea what a woman's perspective on gardening could be .. although I've noticed some gardening tools, especially made for women's hands already.

Greetings! New member here. Recently joined a woman-only gardening club in my city. They invite male speakers to the meetings, but run the club solely from a women's perspective. It's great!

Hi Abstract,

I know what you mean and certainly this is one of the most important pro-arguments for co-ed schools. For me, this wasn't really a problem, I guess, as my parents always saw to it that I had lots of possibilities to get in touch and even compete with boys outside of school. E. g. my mom sent me to a judo course when I was about eleven and I continued to go to there until I was about 17. At the beginning, I was the very only girl in the group there, only when I was already 15, two other girls joined our class. So I had many chances to train my self-confidence in front of boys, I can tell you! It didn't take long for me to find out that I was faster and even stronger than many of them. Things changed after four or five years when the boys started to gain weight a lot quicker than I did, but by that time I had gathered enough self-esteem that nowadays a man has to do a lot to impress me... ;-)

But I definitely agree with you that such additional training fields are very important for girls visiting all girl schools.

Hi Wendy,
I went to an all girl school in my teens as well, so I perfectly understand what you mean! To be honest, I doubt that the advantages of co-education exceed the disadvantages, although co-education is standard in Germany at most schools. Especially for girls ... If I had a daughter, I'd surely send her to an all girl school as well!

Gruss dich Felicitas. Lately i need more girl friends than boys. It's just more comfortable talking and hanging around with girls, so i like the idea to make this group. ;)
