I have desided to start discuss about some ideas in photo. I will place grafic examples at my page in 'PhotoLessons' folder. Please forgive my grammar mistakes in advance.
Of cource these are not exactly 'lessons' becouse I have no intention to teach anyone. I just reply to Nalini's last year's idea. I think we would discussing our opinions in photographs and it may be good and useful.
Hi Nalini. Clarification is my best!! ;-)))))
Line of horizon under mountains on your picture is not flat. I think it has approximately 3 degrees of decline to the left so you need turn the top (or bottom) right corner of picture downward on 3 degrees. Generally we need flat horizon in a background to making natural effect. Distortions of a perspective are fade in background and it looks like flat in the most natural conditions. Foreground as usual can't be in flat horizon due to strong perspective distortion.
I think this picture doesn't have foreground and so seems flat. I did the tree in the left corner of picture sharper and the foreground in the left part displaced and washed. In that way the picture has acquired vivacity and volume and has had more air.
