The iPod is not just a beautiful MP3 player - it's a lifestyle. Take your music wherever you go. Today it seems so obvious to us. But hey: everything started in 2001 when the first iPod was launched.
I own a little iPod Shuffle which I use when I'm running or while flying on a plane. But besides the iPod itself I really enjoy discovering and loading new music from iTunes.
So: what does your iPod (or any other MP3 player) mean to you?
For all the iPod enthusiasts: below is the video with Steve Jobs initial presentation of the iPod. You'll notice that the audience isn't quite overwhelmed. In fact, there was quite some disappointment in the media. Everybody said: is that all? Just an MP3 player? The rest is history ...
Ipod or MP3 player now already become my very, very, very best friend. it always company me anytime anywhere when i'm lonely, happy, or every condition of my mood.
for me music always reflacting my feeling. having them meaning alot to me....
Okay...hate to admit it but I don't own an ipod. Sad, right? I have actually begun to think of buying one. Does that count, ha? I love music...but I suppose my 4 year old tends to monopolize the house right now...am just now starting to listen to more music again...when I can actually hear it over his chattering:D I suppose those earbuds would come in handy for that...

NOT INTERESTED IN HAVING AN I POD. I'LL STICK WITH VINYL AND DISK.IF YOU LVE IN NEW YORK CITY THERE HAS TO BE ABOUT 25 PEOPLE PER SUBWAY CAR ABSORBED WITH I POD FEVER. I NOTICED THESE PEOPLE ARE UNAWARE OF WHAT'S GOING ON IN THE SUBWAY CAR. TOO DISTRACTING AND CAN BE A DANGEROUS ISSUE IN CASE OF EMERGENCY. HAVE NOTHING AGAINST MUSIC. I'VE BEEN PLAYING MUSIC FOR 45 YEARS, IT'S MY FIRST LOVE.
I have mixed emotions on ipods. I am a musician and music lover. I have an ipod touch, and I use it. It's convenient, and portable. However I am a vinyl lover. There is nothing like listening to your favorite albums on vinyl. It's the pure form of recorded music. If you have a beautiful picture, then photocopy it, then photocopy the copy, and that copy etc. It gets lost somewhere in between. It's still the picture, but not as beautiful as it was. MP3s are compressed at a low rate and lose a lot of quality. But they DO serve their purpose. You can store crates and crates of your records in the palm of your hand! And you can’t bring all your viynls with you wherever you go. So there is a great compromise! Many record labels, when you buy new vinyl, give you either a code to download the whole album digitally (then you can burn to disc, or put on your ipod) or they'll include a copy of the cd packaged with the record! I’ve done it with all the new vinyl I buy, and it’s really great. I don’t have to buy the album in multiple formats, and I can enjoy the perfect quality of vinyl from the comfort of my living room, or listen to MP3s when I’m working out. I love both formats for different reasons.
I love my mp3.A few days ago i had some trouble with it and since i am, by nature a reserved person,i felt so lonely. That was when i realised that i needed to start interacting with people.I tried to but in the end i gave up coz it didnt work out AT ALL amd my mp3 is still my best friend. My life would be a complete disaster without it.
