There are many styles from past eras that I enjoy and look forward to them coming back around, as they always do. Yet I can't help but think it's kind of like cheating for many clothing designers. These days everyone knows what will come next because by now it's become a pattern. O of course there are little changes here and there, but basically it's just rehashing the main looks from approx 30 yrs ago. Really- the 90's were like the late 60's- 70's.. The 80's were like the 50's and 40's a bit with the big shoulders.. And now 00's will be like the 80's. The flowing looks from the 30's, art nouveau etc came back in the late 60's. I've been just dreading what's coming back now-- I think most 80's designs were just hideous! haha I sure hope they tone it down a bit this time!! I would love to see something really unique come around- but I suppose there are just so many things that can be done with a hemline and collar...at least that the masses will be comfortable wearing, what with their silly urge to look like everyone else...We don't travel in packs for safety, we don't need to look alike so as to blend in to keep from being picked off by wild animals. Really there's no reason to conform the way we do in our modern times.
When I look at fashion from earlier times and other cultures, the classes that could afford to use clothing for more than just comfort and modesty's sake- they appear to have had a ball with it! Interesting textures, mixing brilliant fabrics and colors... finally...because they Could when trade routes opened up.
I wish Every day was like Halloween, costume day, there's really no reason not to! Wouldn't that be fun! Are you afraid people will think you're silly? I already know I am so I'm not so concerned with that- I love wearing unique styles- and I always get smiles from the people on the street when I do. Sometimes 12 yr old girls giggle, but that's pretty much what 12 yr old girls do anyway.
haha I didn't know I was quite so passionate about fashion til I started writing this--! I'm a graphic designer not a fashion designer, but art is art, and I know what I like...
Have a nice day...

I need help! I am a young motivated business owner who almost does all the right things. Almost! I own a website development company by the name of mywebspott.com. Awesome product! $99 dollars a month gets you a $3,000 website. From Bill Gates to the eighth grade know it all. I'm taking advice from anyone who wants to give it on how to market my company to fortune 500.

There is romance in everything. The creative artistic aspect of the fashion business is there too but because the market itself has gone for the most part global there is little room left for the small intuitive creative person.Money offers great information these days. WGSN is a
good forecasting service offering info about markets constantly. It costs about $30,000 or so to join the main service. (this is approximate) With this you can understand so much just from your computer. A designer may make something different and do something but the odds are very low for success beyond the street where they live. There are some people who are so brilliantly creative they can gather a small bit of information and make something really artistic and hit the big time but for every movie star there are hundreds of thousands of wannabes that work as waiters and waitresses and do extra work on movies hoping to get a break.

Hahaha....:D My my.... well can't blame the joke. Fashion people sometimes are really associated with air head, and frankly speaking I found some of them are. :P Hehehe.....

Most people take fashion as something glamor and they said fashion is about creativity, passion, status, exclusivity, etc. While the truth is, everything lies on the forecasting and research which means a well planned similarity. Forecasting company will give every prediction start from the colors, the style, the details, the pattern, the fabrics, and many more. Quite a dictation and lots of people will find it as a trend. Funny huh.

Albert Einstein dies and goes to heaven. Well its only 10-15 minutes in heaven and he is getting bored...so bored he cannot take heaven anymore. He badly wants to talk to someone...anyway he is walking along...and he couldnt believe his eyes,he sees a guy across the road..well he runs over to him and says
" tell me,tell me....what is your IQ???"
The man says "200"
Eistein says "fantastic!!! We can talk about the theory of relativity....splitting the atom......nuclear physics..." Anyway he leaves that person and goes walking off happy and content and 20 minutes later, again he is bored.......he needs someone AGAIN to talk to......he sees a person by the parking lot and says "tell me tell me what is your IQ???" the person says "150" Albert Einstein says "Fantastic! we can talk about accountancy.....mathematics....politics.....sport...art..!!" anyway he walks off smiling and content and 20 minutes go by and he wants someone still to talk to.......he is AGAIN bored......'I wish I can find someone to talk to...." he says....
All of a sudden he sees a person in a laneway...he runs over to him and says......" tell me tell me what bis your IQ"
The other man speaks very slowly......"Forty.....Five"
Albert Eistein says "Forty Five? Forty Five....Hmmmm what can we talk about.....ahhhh I know.....DO YOU THINK TURQUOISE IS GOING TO BE A GOOD COLOR NEXT SEASON???????"

Now I actually heard this when I was in the business and a designer actually told me it...I really couldnt stop laughing.....

I have up to last year been in the fashion business, actually fabrics for the fashion business..
Sorry I have yet to post a photo but I will later today.
Im really not into the frivolousness of fashion but do think it can be creative and well thought out.
The fabric companies were often leaders in predicting the trends and the fabric shows are 6 months before the clothing shows.
It was quite funny watching at Premiere Vision in Paris all the designers clad mostly in head to toe black pointing at the wall of color that was predicted every season,or the same designers ironically clawing at the yarn colors that the wool bureau or cotton council offered free every few hours.
I actually liked the business. It is a business but it always had an element of surprise in its twists and turns.Hero today, idiot tommrow etc no matter what the reseach companies offered of a guarantee.
Anyway just started here and saw fashion anyway do you think that Navy is going to be a big color next year?
(remind me to tell you a joke about that)
