Does anyone find any correlation between their iPersonality and their Astrological chart?

Like I said in my intro post, most people don't think I'm a Capricorn. Most people guess that I'm either a Sagittarius or a Pisces.

Now, my Pisces ascendent (and Jupiter camping out in Pisces) may lend a lot to me being a Dreamy Idealist.

Similarities between Taurus and HI:
loyal and reliable; a permanent relationship is very important to them
if reaching a certain target is very important to them they can assert themselves with a doggedness bordering on obstinacy (a.k.a. stubbornness, the quality that most people associate with Taurus)
mostly reserved and confide their thoughts and feelings to very few people they trust
find conflict situations unpleasant and prefer harmonious relationships
expect a lot of themselves and of others
practically oriented

Those are just some I spotted, I don't know if they're 100% or if there are more or less. :P

Usually, if you want a basic run-down of your chart you need to look at 4 things:

1. Ascendent (rising sign): this is the side you present to the world. For me, most people think I don't "act" like a Capricorn. Most people think I'm either I Sag or a Pisces.

2. Where your Sun, Mercury, and Venus are located. The location of the Sun dictates your sign. The Mercury (thought patterns) and Venus (emotional patterns) don't necessarily fall in to the same sign that the Sun does. They can be in the sign preceding the sun or fall in the sign afterward. That will affect how the chart is interpreted.

3. Moon (the instinctive reaction to life situations; the inner you behind the surface) This a basic look at your inner emotions.

4. What aspects that pop up in your chart (how the planets are placed and their interrelationship.)

I like how you broke it down to the four basic properties :)

Is Jyotish astrology the same as Vedic astrology?

Doesn't really fit the stereotypical Gemini, but there's more to Gemini than just 'Talk, talk, talk', ya know?
Then again, I'm a more outgoing and thinking type of DI (INFP).
I guess my Scorpio rising fits it alright.

I do see Scorpio as more analytical, as well as less emotional than is traditionally thought. I have several Scorpio influences and was raised by one.
