Translating the iPersonic Test using Google Translator Toolkit

More than a year ago we started translating iPersonic into more languages. As of today, iPersonic is available in seven languages. It would be great to have the test in even more languages. Well, thanks to Google we can make this possible - but we would need your help.

Google just started to offer it's so called Translator Toolkit. This is basically an easy to use system that combines machine translation with a collaborative effort to correct and improve this initial machine translation. Here is how it works:

If you'd like to have the iPersonic test in your mother tongue and you would like to correct the machine translated raw text - just let us know! The following languages are available (I put links on the translations that are already in place):

So, if you find your first language in this list and if you'd like to correct the machine translated raw text - let us know. Just add a comment to this discussion. I will then set up the machine translation and create the corresponding editing environment. You will be invited by eMail to participate in the correction/translation. Once the correction has been done (I expect a total effort of 2 - 3 hours per translation, depending of the quality of the machine translation) I will set up the translated version at iPersonic.com. More than one person can work on one language - this would reduce the effort per person.

Having the test in your mother language would definitely lead to more visitors from your country to this community. We would promote each translated version of the iPersonic test in order to make this happen. More than 2.000.000 people world wide have been taking the test until today. It would be great to ensure the accessibility to an even broader audience. For those of you interested, here is a Wikipedia list of languages by number of native speakers.
