The iPersonic wish list

The further development of iPersonic depends on you - in a literal meaning. I really appreciate your feedback and your initiative. It is essential for me to know what you want. This is why I am putting up this wish list. This should be the place where we discuss new ideas for iPersonic.

I'd like to start with some specific areas.

Groups

Currently, only I can set up a new group. So please contact me if you'd like to create a space where you want to discuss and share things with other members. I suggest that you ask two or three members if they'd like to start a group with you. One of you can be the group administrator. This person will be able to invite new group members, set up the group name and icon etc. etc.

The first group that was established by demand is "The Forge", a group for metal fans on iPersonic. Check it out to see how a group should work. The group was requested by Yova. He is also the group admin.

Translations

One of the first things that popped up here at iPersonic was the idea of having the test translated. Localized versions could make it easier for non-english speaking members to join iPersonic. We now have a group that started to translate the test into spanish. Thanks to Yova, we are making a good progress. Ronaldo just started another group for the translation into portuguese.

If you'd like to help on the translations or if you'd like to start a new translation project - let me know.

New Features

Prince of lies asked me, whether we should implement a quiz. What's your opinion about that? Can you think of any additional features that you may like? A worldmap? You got it ;-) A world clock? Any need for an events calendar (for your birthdays)?

The iPersonic project is limited in resources - but I'll see what I can do to work things out.

New Members

iPersonic is growing with a good rate - at least in my opinion ;-) This isn't about quantity. This is about meeting interesting people that are on your wavelength. We started 4 weeks ago and now we have members from all continents here at iPersonic. It is really fascinating to see how many interesting people you can meet in such short amount of time ...

You can help to make this grow by inviting people that may appreciate being on iPersonic with you. Maybe you've got some other ideas how we could attract new members? Let us know.

A kind of "secondary self" which comes up in some situation in which we actually should act different according to our test result. So what about the possibility to display your secondary type on your page? Maybe as a little icon just like the normal badges, but smaller, next to your main type. This would make the system more deep and individual, I think. As an instruction, the people should remember the decision that was the hardest one for them and simply pick the opposite. I mean, it would be interesting to see what combinations are existing and which are more common than others. Of course, this is only an idea. No need to realise, but maybe worth a thought...; ▶ Reply to This

The point is that I do not want to confuse new users. They just got their type from the test and I don't think they should be told to pick a secondary type at this point.

Here is some sort of compromise we could test. As you see, you can now select multiple types in your About me section.

Another veeery flexible workaround would to state it in your About me description. If you state "I am an Analytical Thinker but sometimes a Dreamy Idealist" you will also be selected by our colorful type bar at the top of the page ...; ▶ Reply to This

Did you decide against allowing people to select multiple types on their profile? Because it won't let me at the moment, unless I'm doing something wrong. Seeing as you posted this in May it wouldn't surprise me if you changed your mind though, so hey.; ▶ Reply to This

The workaround (describing your alternative personality types in your profile) seems to be used by the members. So I left it as it is. So, currently you can only add one personality type. (But you can be part of multiple personality groups).; ▶ Reply to This

Currently we've got only our badges and the personality videos. The badges come in 3 flavours, one of them can be slightly modified. The "large network" badge changes the pictures of the member it shows.; ▶ Reply to This
