People often use religion as their guidance, but sometimes, aren't that rules can be broken? I thought that every religion in this world propagate universal love and compassion? So should we always follow the rules though sometimes we offend others or holding love as the main principal?
Rules are there to be broken :) I'm not religious and don't follow anything really.. I do however believe in humanity, peace and love... It makes me angry, to see all these people spreading hatred over trivial things.. stupidity!!! And what especially makes me angry are those who say they are "religious" and then they spread hatred and contradict everything that religion is suppose to be about! And besides who made these "rules", the churches did it to control the people! How many people got killed, all in the name of God... It makes me sick!
The aim of the religion is developing the mind. Compassion is a developed state while hatred and discrimination are very primitive ones. Rules need not be just accepted without questioning; that is blind faith. The rules should agree with the basic concept/philosophy of the religion. Almost all our religions are thousands of years old and were documented by later people; until then it was brought from spoken word, which may have changed the original. Also the later writers could have altered it to suit their own beliefs and even otherwise, they documented it as they understood it.
But the basic concept is unlikely to have changed. These other "rules" need not be taken as the final word. And since the society has changed, some rules may not be even applicable for today. We have a head on our shoulders to think for ourselves: what's the point in having it if already somebody has decided what we should do?:-)
im happy im a buddhist, which will never propagate blind fate.. and i can think in a open minded way....but i think sometimes, people also dunno that they will fall into blind faith...
I think, there's no need to be confused of the two: rules and compassion + universal love because obviously, it's the latter that matters most. Religion, I believe existed to build or teach comapssion and universal love with the help of rules to guide us on our first steps. But as we have built our faith, we become more aware which rule to follow to go on building stronger faith, or, better yet, rules are not anymore much necessary.
Firstly we have defined between religion and cristianist and there find the solution but the religion catholic for example the first is believe in god who give the life for the people around the world and under this rules we have stand and take ahead the efffort for god for the salvation.

I am a Christian. Christanity is not a religon but a personal relationship with christ. Christ died to fulfull the law. No I am free from the law / or rules as yo say. Once I have given my heart, mind and soul to christ I have been sanctified. I am no fulfilled and righteous with God. I am no longer burdened by laws (for which I can neve fulfill). I am no longer living in fear because I fail to live upto the laws or rules. I live in true freedom, Christanity is the only source to live life this way. As a result, I live my live with Christ as my guide. Love and compassion is a result of this life. Do I fall short, of couse, I am still living in the flesh, but I have confidence that I am not destitue and bound by my sins.
actually my main point is about blind faith..there are some people, who only believe what his faith thought, not being open mind to others, whioch for me, its a illogical and selfish act......If there were difference which they cant accept, they may start to hurt other people, without thinking for others.

For me,there is only one true God, so therefore it is not blind faith. It is based on what is true. There are many religions, but which are true and which are false? For me, chrisanity is the only faith where god sacrificed himself for us, no other religion can make that claim. For me, it is totaly logical and divinely inspired. It is interesting that your point is laced with a doctrine of intollerance, but christanity is the most tolerated relationship with god. It appears that your statemnent is laced with intollerance towards christians. Also christanity produces the most loveing relationship between people, it does not result in "not thinking of others" When you are bound to god with faith, you begin your journey of santfication which when fruits are produced is full of love towards your neighbor because of your love to christ. If this results in those who do not believe in christ to be "hurt", that is their choice. I think your study should include more of what christanity is, vs making rather broad, generic, and uninformed statements.
I'm sorry to say this but you are discriminating other religions. I am a also a Christian Bob and I do not discriminate other religions. I respect their existence as much as I respect my own religion. Real Christians may claim that their religion is the only true religion but they don't despise other religions. What is more important to a true Christian is the "faith" than the religion. Religion is an instrument to our faith to God. As Christians we believe that despite of the many religions, there is only one God that these religions are referring to. It doesn't really matter Who as long as we put our complete faith to our God.
How I just wish that some religious people could also open up their mind more to see the other side. People easily get contented to what they know and keep on sticking to what they believe in amidst some oppositions. I believe in God. I just don't buy the idea of messing up others belief just to showoff my faithfulness.
Sean, I was not referring to you when I said that. I was referring to Bob who obviously messed up with Low's religion because of his tight belief in his religion, which happens to be my religion as well. Anyway, I don't believe it's the religion's fault why people, devoted ones, get narrow minded when it comes to understanding the existence of other religion or even understanding some social rights that contradict their belief. Man's refusal to learn more or go beyond his religious learning is the fault. Just as you do, I also have my own belief, whether to God or to what I consider the truth and I don't want to argue with your belief neither allow you to make me feel good around this topic because I know we have contradicting belief. ^-^
huh... I mean some people just cant understand that-understanding other...remember, there is many faiths in this world, we have no right saying that other religion is giving false doctrine. And i didnt specific my point only in one religion, i know some of my friend who are Muslim and Catholic are open-minded too...I dont care about one's religion if it told people go for a better life, without extremeity and discrimination, indeed.
