iPersonic Community

The community based on the iPersonic personality test.

What if you could look at a person and know their personality type right away? Would you treat them any differently to how you would if you didn't know? If there was a little sign floating above our heads stating what type we were, would humanity use it as yet another thing to discriminate against, or would it actually be a benefit in helping us understand one another better? If you knew someone was a specific type, would you be able to communicate with them in a way that they might better respond to, or would you refrain from talking to them at all under the assumption that you already knew what they were like?

I suppose that what I'm trying to ask is, if our types were clear for all to see, would it help us to reach out to others or would it make us shy away from them more, or even come to discriminate?

well i think that depends on the type of person.....what if the person recognizing the personality of another one is not
competent enough to handle this power of recognition? after all, we are all humans (and there are many sadistic people amongst those animals called "homo sapiens")

but i also believe that there are a lot of people understanding, caring, maybe also sharing....

Why do you 'hide' behind a butterfly ? Why do I (sometimes) hide behind whatever avatar I've got up at the moment ?

We actually show a lot of our personality type by our body language, the things we say, our mindset ect. We don't even need floating signs above our heads to recognize the personality of the people. The essential facts about a person are often assumed very fast I think.

I think it would effect not only the way we treat people but also our expectations of treatment from others. I think it would depend on whether rapport was established and to what degree. We already choose our friendshihps and tolerate our coworkers based on theirs and our personalities. To be able to know the personality without conversation would only speed us through the process and we most likely would avoid (when appropriate) interacting with personality types they aren't comfortable around.
I use astrology to aid in my understanding of people. It's very accurate in determining personalities, but there will always be exceptions. I find it much easier to adapt to my company when I know their astrological sign.

i think it would change for the bad mainly because society as a WHOLE is ignorant so the wouldn't be as accepting off the non "norm" p-types and be seen as some one put earlier as mutants .

That's something I thought right after I joined my personality type community here... I quite believe it would change and people would start to organise as groups because it would certainly increase discrimination but some would embrace it and present diversity as something good because people ain't perfect. I would change the way I speak to people based on their profile because you don't present a question to a judge the same way you do to a doctor, sort of. I would embrace the new society and would try to adapt though. Furthermore, It would be interesting to see how people would respond to that, jobs would be quite labelised as something particularly aced by one or another type.

I am from the idea that we must always be humanists because God i believe two human beings men and women of ahi must start now that we all live here in this planet and we must want as brothers
