Im sure you know deep down what right and wrong is!
just think about every wrong thing you have ever done including all the wrong you havent done yet.
When the end of your life comes, you will have to pay the penalty for all of these.
The penalty for sin is death.
( The most unbearable torment, loss, grief, suffering, loneliness, fear, terror, trauma that a human could experience in his/her lifetime could not even come close to comparing to the place where you could be spending the next million+ years) (Hell)
Together humanity has turned away from God our creator and together has fallen short of the Glory of God ( perfection)
Therefore all must pay the penalty for their sins.
When God created us, he didnt get bored, abandon us and start another project. No!
When God created us, he was pleased with his creation and he loves us and adores us!
God loves us so much, that even though we dont deserve it, God sent his only Son Jesus who was perfect and without sin to be nailed to a wooden cross and die in our place of death. The sin of every man and woman past, present and those still to come was heavily laid upon Jesus.
Jesus took our sin and took the penalty for us.
Jesus was raised from death 3 days later by God the Father and placed in Glory above all Heaven and Earth.
Jesus is alive today!
Many people throughout history and today are living proof of his existence, his unconditional love, power and grace.
The good news for you Gabriel! is that God still loves you no matter where you've come from in life, no matter what you've done or said his love is unconditional.
Jesus Christ is real, he is alive and he is offering you a personal friendship with him ( Christianity is not a religion, it's a personal relationship with Jesus Christ) as your Lord and Savior.
Have you heard of the band called 'P.O.D.'?
Their name stands for 'Payable On Death' which means they have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Saviour which means their sin was paid for when Jesus died on the cross making them blameless and perfect before God through what Jesus had done on the cross.
If you decide to choose 'DEATH' and pay your own penalty. Stop reading here. and go back to your usual way of life!
If you decide to choose 'LIFE' and have Jesus pay the penalty for your sins, also recieving the free gift of eternal life in Heaven, pray this prayer and MEAN IT!

I agree with you, Gabriel, that Jesus is not to be worshipped. I don't know that I would call it idolatry, but it's not right.

Hi Gabriel, You are very strong in making an opinion. What you say is essentially correct but their are many schools of thought in understanding about faith. You must agree that others have a right to have an opinion. I am not defending what Danielle has said but only that there should be freedom of thought.

I am a born-again Christian, saved by Grace. I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, part of the Triune God (Father, Son and Holy Spirit). I believe that He came to earth, suffered for our sins, was raised on the third day and ascended into Heaven to sit at the Right Hand of God the Father. He did this to pay the price for our sins so that we are saved by Grace and will have Everlasting Life with God. I believe that we are in the last days and that we must be ready, for the Time of Heaven is at hand.

Aggie B Your point of view is outstanding and very correct. Faith is a matter of belief and can not be said to be right or wrong. But like you everyone else is also entitled to his or her belief. We must not critisize or force any other person to our own views. Things should rather be discussed with an open mind and without thinking that the other person is definitely right or wrong.

WOW. please don't take the bible and twist the words to prove you're point. you can do that with any text. why don't you actually read the whole chapter before you make a snap descision on what JESUS CHRIST was saying. He is part of the holy trinity, Father, son, Holy spirit, and yes the father is greater than the son, yet they are one. where did u get your theology degree??

So, crissy dugas, I don't have a theology degree, nor did I ever claim to have one. I don't see how I twisted any words, I just expressed my faith...sorry if you didn't like it - to each his own. I have no intention of stepping on anybody's toes, I am just a new user, who saw an interesting question and answered it. Peace.
